I was invited by the Ford Motor Company Limited to take my Aston DB6 Volante in for a review, and I must say it looked very incongruous parked next to the latest Ford dual Fuel research vehicle. But the most significant comment engineers gave me throughout the day was that it was probably the best paint finish that they had ever seen.

Everyone who has seen the finish on the 1993 Aston Matrin Le Mans has been amazed by it. I can say without fear of contradiction that, in the Aston Martin Owners Club where very high standards are commonplace, there is not another example of this model finished to such a high standard.
